     In 1983, Don Wurdinger started Farm Drainage Plows, Inc. in Waverly, Iowa when he had an idea for a tile plow design pulled by farm tractors. This was a very affordable way for farmers to install their own tile, especially in areas where there were few drainage contractors available. With his plows, Don has now helped countless farm operations improve their land and productivity with many of his machines still in use today.

     In 2008, Joe O'Connell bought the business from Don and added to the name with O'Connell Farm Drainage Plows, Inc. and moved it to Potosi, Wisconsin. Joe, along with his son Ryan, were able to add to the product line and bring in more technology to serve their customers.  They developed their line of Tile Stringer Carts along with a heavy duty Trench Closer. They also developed a Dual Link tile plow as a third design option giving customers a commercial grade tile plow at the drop of a pin.

     In 2022, Jake and Jenna Nicholson transitioned from an O'Connell dealer in Deer Creek, IL to manufacturing by purchasing the business from Joe and changing the name to Legacy Equipment Co. Honoring the work of Don and Joe, along with all the families that have made our lineup of equipment possible.

     Today we are continuing to add to the product line that gives our customers the choices in equipment and technology that best fit them and their operations.
